Thank you for peeking at my corner of the web!  I am Shana Derksen and would love to get to know you!  Photography is something I hold dear to my heart.  Its something your family will cherish for a lifetime. I take every session as if its of my own family.  I create each session to be unique for each one of my clients to the smallest of details.

     There are many things that are put together to create my sessions.  There are hours of preparation that go into each session, from planning prior to your session as we communicate about you locations, discussing colors that best suit you and your family, to props you may want to be included to make it more personalized to your liking, poses you have seen and more.  Next is the session, where I put on my best silliness to get genuine smiles, perfect those newborn poses and interact while getting to know your family during our time together.

 

    I have had years of education, invested thousands of dollars in equipment, props and many sleepless nights learning more to only keep improving. I spend many hours away from my family to give my clients the one on one care they deserve.  There are a lot of costs that go into a small legitimate business; continuous education, supplies, equipment, props, taxes, insurance, and lots of marketing.  As the list goes on I am here because I simply love what I do.  

 

     There is nothing better than to have my clients walk away happy and excited about the images they receive!  I would love to have the opportunity to work with you and your family.
